Congratulations on your scholastic achievements and continued hard work thus far. As Beta Alpha Psi’s President it is my pleasure to welcome you to the Eta Iota chapter at Florida International University. For 100 years, our organization has supported its members so that they may take hold of their education and professional development allowing them to leave a legacy of excellence. As part of the most prestigious international honor society for Accounting, Finance and Information Systems our goal is to provide opportunities for growth and to create a culture of ethical and social responsibility that will foster both personal and professional success in the financial information industry. Our Spring 2023 executive board was elected to sustain and advance these objectives, while also promoting our member’s interests.
I encourage and challenge you to turn your degree into an education by becoming involved in the family culture of Beta Alpha Psi. Apart from being an honor society, our organization offers lasting lifelong relationships and professional connections that will function as the foundation of your career. Each experience will serve as a tool that will guide you through both the recruitment process and your upcoming career. Our professional development workshops, mock interviews, community service, socials and tutoring are tailored to enhance the skills needed in your careers. It will be rewarding, and your effort and commitment will lead you to success. We will expose you to the international, regional and local firms on a weekly basis. We also host the Ahead of the Game: Accounting and Business Expo, the university’s largest networking career fair exclusively for Accounting, Finance and Information Systems majors. This event serves to bring firms and corporations from local and national presence to recruit and network with our finest members. Furthermore, through our successful Beta Buddy mentorship program, you will have a mentor that will serve as your guide throughout your academic experience and beyond.
