It is my esteemed pleasure to welcome you to Beta Alpha Psi, the Eta Iota chapter at Florida International University. Since 1986, our chapter has been developing quality professionals that have transgressed, through rigorous challenges, to become the business leaders of our future. Congratulations on your hard work and scholastic achievements thus far. As part of the most prestigious honor society for Accounting, Finance and Management Information Systems, our goal is to develop our members by promoting the study and practice of financial information. This goal is accomplished by the self-development of ethical practices, fostering opportunities for growth and a strong sense of social and professional responsibility. Our Fall 2018 board was elected to uphold and advance these ideals while cultivating our member’s interests.
I encourage and challenge you to make this semester yours and become involved in the rich culture of Beta Alpha Psi. Apart from being an honor society, Beta Alpha Psi offers you lasting friendships and professional connections that will serve as the foundation of your career. The experiences will be rewarding, but it takes effort and commitment on your part. We will expose you to the national, regional and local firms on a weekly basis. Our professional development workshops, mock interviews, community services, resume critiques, socials, and tutoring are tailored to enhance the skills needed in our careers. We also bring you Ahead of the Game: Accounting and Business Expo, the largest networking career fair, which brings together firms and corporations from local and national presence to recruit and network with our finest members. Through our successful Beta Buddy mentor-ship program, you will have a mentor that will serve as your guide throughout your academic experience and beyond. We welcome you to join us this Spring 2019 and become a part of an elite, highly recognized and respected honor society in the fields of Accounting, Finance and MIS. Sincerely, Elias Gonzalez President
